This number appears on Caller ID as coming from a courthouse in Salinas, CA, but is actually spoofed (meaning that the caller ID number appears, but the call is actually originating from somewhere else, probably a foreign country). Remember that government officials do not leave a vague phone message stating in a foreign accent, "We have information for you. Call us back." Legitimate government business (the court system or IRS) NEVER contact you by phone. They will ONLY contact you by sending mail through the postal service.
