An unwanted call from this Oxnard VOIP number arrived today. When the answering machine picked up, there was dead silence. This is the tactic of robocallers (unlawful telemarketers) who continuously troll the phone lines, desperately seeking gullible schmucks to victimize.
There is some evidence the perpetrator is a scam HVAC contractor, of whom there are many. The website www.whitepages.com tags this number as "scam or fraud." I'm sooooo surprised!!!!!!
