Just received an automated robo call reportedly from the IRS. News flash the IRS will never call you directly! Recording warned that I had committed fraud to the IRS and could go to jail....lol
Googled the 866-218-0631 and found many posts confirming this phishing scam to trick people into giving them money to avoid being arrested.
I may call this number in my spare time to have some fun with these people. Hopefully this posts helps prevent someone from falling victim to these scumbags!
